Scholarship Requirements and Application
The Rio Grande Valley Chapter Associated General Contractors of America, Inc. will be awarding $1000.00 scholarships to Valley area graduating 2014 seniors.
Requirements for the scholarship are: 1) Must continue his or her education in a construction related field, such as construction science, architecture, construction related engineering, etc., 2) Must have a minimal overall grade average of 85 or better.
Students receiving scholarship funds from other organizations or individuals shall still be eligible for scholarship funds from the Associated General Contractors.
There will be no limit to the number of applications accepted for consideration. (One copy of the application is enclosed, reproduce this page and the application as needed.)
We ask that all applications be in our office no later than March 28, 2014. The AGC Scholarship Committee will meet during the first part of April to select recipients.
Attention Senior Counselors: Please note the request for senior counselor information on page two (2) of the scholarship application. Rank in class, grade point average and quartile in class are important elements for scholarship consideration. Additionally, please attach a copy of each applicant’s transcript. Counselor/Instruction descriptive statements for student applicants are encouraged.
